Mika Cover Of "Just Can't Get Enough"

International pop star Mika has just released new DVD with his show in Paris, filmed earlier this year. One of the songs on this DVD is Depeche Mode classic "Just Can't Get Enough", written by Vince Clarke.

Depeche Mode Biography Book

This summer was released the 3rd edition of the official Depeche Mode biography book written by Jonathan Miller and titled "Stripped: Depeche Mode". The book tells a story of Depeche Mode and also about early years of the band, including interesting facts about Vince Clarke's childhood, his family and friends. There are also many comments from Daniel Miller, Vince himself, Robert Marlow, Eric Radcliffe and other people, related with Depeche Mode in the book.

"Stripped: Depeche Mode" by Jonathan Miller out now.

In autumn 2008 the book has been translated and published in Russia.

To be released on the 23rd February 2009 is 'Total Pop! The First 40 Hits' - a collection of Erasure's first 40 hits. Featuring all the hit singles from Erasure's five Number 1 albums and including 17 Top 10 singles, the album also contains a brand new remix by Jeremy Wheatley of the 1994 classic 'Always'.

As well as a double CD package and download, 'Total Pop!' will also be released as a special four-disc deluxe box-set edition which includes Pop! (remastered since its original release), Pop2!, a live disc and a DVD featuring classic BBC performances from 1986-2005, ranging from 'Sometimes' on 'Top of the Pops' in 1986 to 'Ship Of Fools' on 'Wogan' to an appearances on 'Later... With Jools Holland'.

Alison Moyet Covers Dusty Springfield

Alison Moyet has recorded the classic Dusty Springfield song "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself" for a forthcoming Dusty Springfield tribute album.

Alison recorded her version with Martin Terefe, who has previously has produced for a-Ha, James Morrison and KT Tunstall. The track has been been described by Alison as having both "force and fragile edges".

Singles Back Catalogue

Within the next three months, the majority of the Erasure singles back catalogue (from 'Who Needs Love Like That' [1985] to 'Sunday Girl' [2007]) will no longer be manufactured once the physical formats (CD, vinyl, picture disc & DVD) have sold out.  This doesn't mean that existing stock will be withdrawn from retailers, but it does mean that once all stocks have gone - that's it, no new copies will be pressed.  This also applies to the vinyl editions of the albums ('Wonderland' [1986] to 'Other People's Songs' [2003]).

It is actually standard practice within the music industry for singles to be removed from the labels catalogue (and therefore no longer manufactured) after a period of mere weeks, so for singles to still be pressed so long after their initial release is quite remarkable.

If there are any singles that you are missing from your collection, it would be wise to purchase them sooner rather than later and avoid paying over the odds on sites such as eBay.

Coming atcha on 5th January is the brand new single from The Saturdays - "Issues". The track will be busting out of UK radios and will be joined by a hot remix courtesy of one of Britain’s most influential pop/dance remixers - Vince Clarke. He is not only one half of Britain's legendary duo Erasure but he was also part of Yazoo, whom The Saturdays sampled on their debut single "If This is Love".

The Saturdays are a five-piece pop girl group with members from the United Kingdom and Ireland formed in 2007.
