Vince Clarke Is Selling His Studio Equipment

Due to relocation Vince Clarke is auctioning over 160 items of audio equipment from his UK studio. All pieces of equipment was owned and used by Vince. It has been regularily serviced.

The equipment was part of his studio that has been relocated to the USA.
Therefore a lot of the equipment is being auctioned because it needs 240V to work and the USA's electrical supply is 110V. All items have been regularily serviced, most have documentation.

Five items a day are auctioned starting from Wednesday, 24th October. Full list of items and all additional info can be found here.

This week Erasure's latest release, "Storm Chaser", entered official singles chart in Denmark at #17.

Also, this week "Sunday Girl" is at #50 in Romaia (down from #49).

Richard Rockwood

Richard Rockwood is a British artist and desinger, who created artwork for latest Erasure album "Light At The End Of The World" and related singles.

On leaving Brighton College of Art Richard Rockwood came to London and worked for two major record companies first as an assistant then as art director. On leaving he set up a studio with 4 other ilustrator/designers in Covent Garden working for record companies, publishers, design groups and advertising agencies. Richard then spent some time living and working in New York. On his return continued work as a freelance designer/illustrator working in the same areas with the addition of the fashion business.

In the 1990’s he learnt to use the computer, creating a whole new niche in the world of design. Here are some examples of his works:

Erasure Prepare A Song For Shrek

Here is a quote from the recent exclusive interview with Erasure for Erasure.ru (which will be available on the site very soon):

"The next thing we do actually is we gonna do a track for Shrek Christmas album, which is a compilation album. They wanna traditional carol, so we’ll be doing it as soon as we can".

"Shrek The Halls" is an upcoming ABC special premiering in the holiday season of 2007. The thirty minute show will include Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas reprising their roles from the feature films.

Lee Mack Show Featuring Andy Bell Out On CD

Back in January 2007 Andy Bell along with many other stars made a guest appearance BBC Radio 2's Lee Mack Show.

Taking part in the manic mix of sketches and stand-up were special musical guests: former Spice Girl Melanie C, ABC’s Martin Fry, Jamelia, Alison Moyet and Level 42’s Mark King.

Andy Bell sung three songs: short version of "Sometimes", "A Little Respect" and Blondie cover "One Way Or Another".

The complete second BBC Radio 2 series which includes all six episodes of the show is now available on 3 CDs.

19th September is an "International Talk Like A Pirate Day". It is a parodic holiday invented in 1995 by John Baur and Mark Summers, of the United States, who proclaimed 19th September each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate.

Some of the photo categories are a little light on photos, particularly for recent events such as the 'Electric Picnic Festival' and 'The True Colors Tour', as well as older tours such as 'The Innocents' and 'The Circus'.

EIS - Change Of Address

The paint is still wet, not everything has been unpacked (although Andy's gold codpiece takes pride and place on the shelf) and internet access won't be enabled until Monday, but it's good to be here.
