Future Retro : Rhino Records/Warner Music (USA)
Originally due for release in July,
the Rhino Records / Warner Music compilation "Future Retro" is now
scheduled for a September release on both vinyl and CD formats. Of
particular interest is the Electrospect mix of 'A Little Respect' by
Jaded Alliance.
Current US release date is the 27th September, and the track listing
is available within the EIS News section.

the same day - but this is an exciting press release to announce!

Andy Bell Signs New Record Deal
Erasure frontman Andy Bell has signed
a worldwide solo recording deal with Sanctuary Records, and
announced details of his debut album, which will be released on 3rd
October 2005, and entitled 'Electric Blue'.
The first single release will be 'Crazy', released on September
26th. The single will come on three formats, with club remixes from
Erasure partner Vince Clarke, plus Cicada, MHC and King Roc. It will
also feature additional non-album tracks and the video, which is
being made by the award-winning Al + Al.
The album features 14 brand new tracks, including two duets, with
Claudia Brucken (of Propaganda and Act) and Jake Shears (of Scissor
Sisters), and encompasses a variety of musical genres.
'Electric Blue' was co-written and recorded throughout 2004 and 2005
with Manhattan Clique (Philip Larsen & Chris Smith) who have worked
with Erasure, Moby, The B-52's, Stereophonics and Goldfrapp in
recent months.
Live dates are being planned for late 2005/early 2006, and the trio
are also planning a series of PA's and DJ gigs around album release.
As one half of Erasure, Andy Bell has sold in excess of 20 million
records worldwide, and chalked up over 30 hit singles. Latest album
'Nightbird' received huge critical acclaim, as did a recent sold-out
European and North American tour.

'LOGO' Evening Of Erasure - Wednesday 6th July
The recently launched US digital
channel 'LOGO' (from MTV Networks) is dedicating an night to Erasure
on Wednesday 6th July:
5:00 PM & 9:00 PM - Erasure Video Countdown (Musical) Andy Bell and
Vince Clarke present videos that inspired them, as well as their own
hits.
6:00 PM & 10:00 PM - Erasure The Tank, the Swan, and the Balloon
Live! (Musical) The synth-pop duo performs at Manchester Apollo
Theatre.
LOGO is available via several cable/satellite providers in the US,
such as Directv, Time Warner Cable and RCN cable, however I suggest
you check with your local provider to confirm if they carry the
channel.

Here I Go / All This Time Chart Position
'Here I go Impossible Again / All
This Time Still Falling Out Of Love', the third single from the
album 'Nightbird' entered the UK charts at number 25 (this chart is
based on physical CD single sales and digital downloads).
If one compiles a chart based solely on physical CD single sales,
then the single would have reached number 20.

Hello!
If your email inbox is groaning under the strain of EIS email
updates then don't worry - after today it's likely that the updates
will become a lot less frequent (in the short turn anyway).
The next (planned) updates will occur with:
- the North American release of 'Here I Go / All This Time'
- the remix entries are published and the voting procedure announced
When further news regarding Andy's solo projects, the 'Erasure Show'
DVD and next years releases are confirmed then the frequency of EIS
email updates will naturally increase.

Another Top Twenty Hit?
Will 'Here I Go Impossible Again /
All This Time Still Falling Out Of Love' be another top 20 hit for
Erasure?
Well this is the first time that the band have released a single
since the combined (digital download / shop purchased) singles chart
has been in existence in the UK, so the final chart position will
certainly be interesting with the strong competition.
Talking of Digital downloads, more of the single mixes are now
available as digital downloads - follow the links from the EIS
front-page:

The last reported midweek chart position (received today) was 22, so
it's certainly going to be close!

Slipcases - Overseas
Due to the large number of requests
from overseas Erasure fans, the EIS will now provide a free slipcase
with *any* EIS merchandise order (this will cover the overseas p&p)
if requested. This is the only realistic way that the EIS can
provide these Mute UK produced slipcases to those outside the UK.
The cheapest EIS items are the eraser / pencil at £1.00 or the
Crackers International 3" CD at £1.50. (These prices are for UK /
Europe / Rest of World and include postage & packaging).
This is certainly a much cheaper option than purchasing slipcases
through any online.

Mac Digimpro Software
Digimpro are releasing beta versions
of a Mac diPlayer to coincide with the release of the new Erasure
single this week.
Over the coming days and weeks, the Mac diPlayer software will be
enhanced and improved, however Digimpro are keen for any bugs or
annoyances to be posted on their site so that they can fix them as
quickly as possible.

Yes in answer to the recent flurry of
emails I've received I can confirm the great news that an 'Erasure
Show' DVD is currently being worked on and will be released sooner
rather than later (i.e. we're talking about months rather than
years).
Actual release dates / contents etc will be confirmed and announced
as soon as possible.
