Onetwo In Moscow - Reminding

Onetwo is a band which supported Erasure during their European leg of "Light At The End Of The World Tour" in 2007. Claudia Brucken also appear on Andy Bell solo album "Electric Blue" (2005).

Onetwo (Claudia Brucken and Paul Humphreys) will be playing live in Moscow in club Tochka this Sunday, 27th April.

New Yazoo Interview

Another new rather interesting interview with Yazoo titled "Erasure Made Me Jealous" can be read here.

Here are some interesting quotes:

Vince: "It seemed like the right time to do it but I was very concerned that Andy might feel that I was taking something away from our relationship. But he just said, 'Can you get me some tickets?'"

Alison: "This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I really wanted to work with Vincent again. I contacted him at a time when he wasn't free then things changed."

"And we never really formed any relationship. We were working all the time for 18 months, recording and a bit of touring. Any problems with the music were never voiced. I think we were shy of each other and afraid of what the other thought. So by the end of it we were both pretty unhappy."

On stage, Vince is happy to hide behind his music: "It has given me a huge amount of pleasure and joy and satisfaction. I feel relatively comfortable playing to 1,000 people. But if I'm in a restaurant and somebody looks round, I go red as a beetroot."

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone that made the recent Erasure eBay Charity Auction such a huge success. The auction concluded just a few hours ago and the total money raised for charity was £4,908.46  This will be split evenly and donated to 'The Stroke Association' and 'Scope'.

And yes, I was correct with my prediction, 'Mint Sauce' went for the highest sum - an amazing £1625.00.

'Light At The End Of The World' Button Badges

Another exclusive EIS designed item is now available via the Erasure Store - a set of five button badges (25mm diameter) based on the 'Light At The End Of The World' album and singles artwork.

Each of the button badges is in full colour and features the current Erasure logo on the front and rather usefully a fastening pin on the rear!

In a similar manner to the 'Royal Albert Hall Commemorative Postcards' that were mentioned last week, only a single batch (200) of these badges have been made and no more in this series will be produced once sold out.

Brand New Interview With Yazoo

Live Nation and SJM have produced an exclusive video interview with Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke. Alison and Vince discuss Yazoo ahead of their "Reconnected" tour. The interview took place in London on Tuesday, April 8th, the first time Alison and Vince had been in the same room for 16 years.

During the interview Vince has said that he is going to reprogram some Alison's solo songs for the tour. It can be seen on the video that some professional photos were being taken, so we can expect new official 2008 Yazoo pics.

Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke appeared together on BBC Radio 2's Jonathan Ross's show last Saturday, 12th April.

Download the latest episode of the Jonathan Ross show in which Jonathan talks to Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke about reforming Yazoo for a special tour. Vince and Alison come on at around 9:22.

In this interview Vince Clarke have also said that he and Alison will be looking at trying to write some new material together while on tour.

Cat Deeley's series Soundtrack To My Life on Sky Arts and ITV featured a programme with Alison talking about her defining work and her musical influences. During the programme Alison performed a couple of her own songs and also Yazoo's "Don't Go".

Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke, back together again, and are interviewed together on BBC Radio 2's Jonathan Ross's show this Saturday, 12th April from 10am to 1pm.

Alison Moyet On The Andrew Marr Show

On Sunday, 6th April Alison was performing on The Andrew Marr Show on BBC One. She sung Yazoo hit "Don't Go", but as Vince was still in USA on that day, she performed with her musicians and live instruments. Click here to watch this performance.

Andy Bell At The Screening Of Royal Albert Hall Concert

As was announced earlier, Andy Bell has attended at the the world premiere screening of Erasure's Royal Albert Hall Concert in London, 4th April. Also attended: Valerie Chalmers (Erasure backing singer), Daniel Miller (Mute boss), Paul Hickey (Andy's ex-boyfriend) and Dean Bright (Erasure's costume designer).

Paul Hickey had some news about his book. He said he's got a copy of the book to view and that it should be out just before Christmas hopefully (thanks to Mark Pugh for the info).

New Limited Edition Commemorative Postcards

Available exclusively via the Official Erasure Store is a set of five large 'Erasure Live At The Royal Albert Hall' commemorative postcards (175mm x 125mm).

Each of the postcards is in high quality full colour and feature the beautiful images as used for the 'Erasure Live At The Royal Albert Hall' DVD / poster artwork. As a set, they fit perfectly within the inside cover of the DVD.

Each set will be posted in an all-board envelope to prevent damage during shipping.

Erasure Charity Costume Auction

Commencing next week (on Tuesday 8th April) will be the Erasure Online Charity Auction.

This will involve the tour costumes from last years "Light At The End Of The World Tour" being auctioned via eBay, with the proceeds being donated to charity.
