BFI London L&G Film Festival - Update

Just a quick update to let you know that Andy Bell (along with Paul Hickey) will be attending the premiere of Erasure's Royal Albert Hall Concert at the BFI L&G Film Festival on Friday 4th April.

New Online Erasure Shop - Opening End Of March

The existing online Erasure Shop has been taken offline whilst preparations for a new online Erasure store takes place.

The new store will feature a wider range of Erasure related merchandise, including items that were sold during the recent tours.

Look out for the new store opening at the end of March 2008.

Yazoo To Perform At Sonar 2008

"Not long after founding Depeche Mode, Vince Clarke, the group's main composer, threw in the towel to go his own way with the punk veteran Alison Moyet. Drawing deeply from the legacy of Kraftwerk and with Alison's vocals influenced by blues, Yazoo breathed life into the flame of synthpop, accumulating hit after hit, until they both decided to go their separate ways after their second album.

Mute is now releasing their remastered classics on the four-LP compilation "In Your Room", a wonderful opportunity that shows that another encounter with the duo so that they can give us their best moments live is well worth it.

And to celebrate such a long anticipated reunion, Sonar will be the first festival to play host to them."

Yazoo will be performing on Saturday 21st June.

New Goldfrapp Album "Seventh Tree" Out This Week

A rather random mention, but as I've been listening to it all this week, I felt the need to share...

The new Goldfrapp album "Seventh Tree" is out this week. It's quite a departure from their previous albums - and quite frankly it's gorgeous. It's well worth a listen, and would make great Mother's Day present for this Sunday :)

Yazoo "In Your Room" Box Set Release Date

Yazoo's 4 CD box set "In Your Room" will be released in Germany on 2nd May 2008. The expected UK release date is 5th May.

Erasure "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" DVD Details

To be released on the 7th April is the highly anticipated DVD release of Erasure's stunning live performance recorded last year at The Royal Albert Hall, London.

This release features Erasure perform a selection of their all time classic songs, plus material from their most recent album, the critically acclaimed 'Light At The End Of The World'.

Live Here Now are selling both the DVD and a double CD album of 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' (also available as a digital download) via their website. Alternatively the DVD can be ordered from large music retailers such as Zavvi, Tesco, Woolworths and Amazon.

Erasure Tour Costumes - Charity Auction

To coincide with the release of Erasure's "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" DVD in early April, the Erasure Information Service will be auctioning a selection of costumes from the 2007 "Light At The End Of The World" tour, as worn by Andy Bell, Vince Clarke and the three backing singers (Valerie Chalmers, Rachel Montez Collins & Christa Jackson).

All proceeds from the auction (which will be conducted via eBay) will be donated to charity.

World Premiere Of Erasure's Royal Albert Hall Concert

Join the 22nd BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival on Friday 4th April for the world premiere screening of Erasure's Royal Albert Hall Concert, with a peek behind the scenes with the boys with the showing of the documentary "Behind the Scenes with V&A".

Tickets for the showing (at NFT1, BFI Southbank, London) cost £8.60 (concession rate for BFI members £5.25)

Onetwo: Claudia Brucken and Paul Humphreys will be playing live in Moscow in club Tochka on 27th April.

Onetwo is a band which supported Erasure during their European leg of "Light At The End Of The World Tour" in 2007. Claudia Brucken also appear on Andy Bell solo album "Electric Blue" (2005).

The following email has been sent out to all who pre-ordered "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" DVD through Live Here Now:

"Dear Erasure Fan
 
You are receiving this email because you have Pre-ordered the Erasure Live at the Albert Hall DVD or CD and DVD bundle; this is just a quick note to let you all know what is happening with the DVD.
 
Erasure and Mute are currently putting the final touches to the DVD, they have put a lot of love into it as they obviously want it to be as good as it can be. The extra time needed has meant that the retail release date has been put back from the 25th of Feb to early April. There will be an announcement about the official launch from the Band/EIS in the coming days. However we are pleased to announce that we will be shipping your DVD as soon as we receive stock, which is CURRENTLY scheduled to be the 25th Feb. We will ship any orders received up to that date. Any orders
after that date will ship to arrive on the official release date. All orders received before the 25th WILL include the poster.
 
We realise that this information has been a long time coming and we apologise for that and the frustration this has caused. We have been expecting the official announcement for some time now and were waiting for that before communicating with you, in retrospect we waited too long.
 
For those of you who bought the bundle please be aware that we are taking the full purchase price at the time we ship the CD, we would normally only take payment when the goods are shipped but due to limitations in the back end of our system this is unavoidable, the
DVD will follow automatically as soon as it is in stock. If this is unacceptable let us know and we will refund the price of the DVD.

One of the online music retailers, CD WOW is listing forthcoming Erasure DVD "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" for preorder with release date 25th February.

This date, however, has not been confirmed officially.
