'Union Street' - 'Home' Audio Clip
As we edge closer towards the release of 'Union Street' album,
another 60 sec clip escapes from the vaults!
This week it's the turn of 'Home' - and this 'Union Street' version
is a beautiful re-interpretation of the song that originally
appeared on the 'Chorus' album. Trust me - a mere 60 sec clip can
not do this song justice! (as you may have guessed, this song is a
particular favourite of mine).
As always the audio clip is available in Real and Windows Media
formats via the following page:

I Say I Say I Say List Closing
Erasure's I Say I Say I Say
mailing list closing Monday, February 20th 2006.
Message from the I Say I Say I Say
moderator:
"The
I Say closing is long overdue, as the technology is a bit outdated
now, and traffic has dwindled considerably. Obviously everyone is
posting over on the band's official forum.
When the Erasure fan club opened the forum awhile back, I had only
meant the I Say list to overlap a bit during the transitional
period. Time passed, things slowly quieted down on I Say, and it
required very little maintenance. I had other commitments on my
time, and I got a bit lax about closing I Say. I am only now finding
the time to write this memo and make the necessary setting
adjustments to the site.
I am leaving the archive up on the web so you can reference old
messages. But the list will be closed to new messages.
Erasure's EIS fan club site provides e-mail updates with all current
news about the band (sign-up required), plus an archive of past
news/updates. Also photos, videos, sound clips, merchandise, and all
sorts of goodies. And of course, a large forum with many
well-organized categories.
Best wishes to everyone, it's been fun! See you over at the EIS
site!"

Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards
On 4th February Erasure performed live at the 12th Annual Steve
Chase Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs, USA. Here is a brief
report from EIS member b2d2.
"...All dressed in black Erasure performed:
"Blue Savannah" (Mark Saunder's mix with live piano, drums and Vince
at the guitar), "Chains Of Love" (live piano, drums and Vince at the
guitar), "My Foolish Heart" (piano only), unnamed tune (piano only),
"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (piano only), "A Little Respect"
(piano, drums and of course Vincent).
After "Blue Savannah" and "Chains Of Love", Andy sat up on the piano
and sang a medley of three songs the last of which the crowd was so
moved by "Over The Rainbow".
When "A Little Respect" started, it was out of control. Andy did his
trademark dance moves and hundreds flew from their seats and
proceded to dance to the front of the stage, spinning round in their
tuxes and gowns with arms in the air, of course happily greeted by
Andy and Vince. With a standing ovation and hundreds of folk
chanting "More, More, More!", Andy and Vince couldn't have looked
happier or more proud! The crowd was estatic!
Debbie Reynolds said "They're fabulous!!! Who are they???" with a
huge laugh and clap from the crowd!.."
And here are some photos from that
evening made by b2d2.

EIS
- "Boy Four Track CD":
Hello
¨
'Boy' EP (CDMUTE359)
Some more exciting exclusive news this week!
20th March (UK) sees the release of 'Boy', a four track CD which
features:
1) 'Boy' (taken from Erasure's forthcoming acoustic album 'Union
Street')
2) 'Cry So Easy' (recorded for 'Union Street' but ultimately not
included)
3) 'I Bet You're Mad At Me' (live BBC Radio version)
4) 'Jacques Cousteau' (a synth instrumental track)
A sixty second clip of 'Boy' can be listened to here:
EIS:
http://www.erasureinfo.com/releases/albums/unionstreet.html
International release dates are to be confirmed.
I should point out that the inclusion of four different songs on
this one release means that this EP is not valid for inclusion in
the UK singles chart - so no need to e-mail in about that!
¨
'Union Street' Album (North America)
The North American release date of 'Union Street' has been confirmed
as 18th April.
¨
'Union Street' - Behind The Scenes Part II
The 'Union Street' video footage that was published last week has
proven to be very popular - so an additional clip has been added.
The technical quality of this weeks clip is poor (the sound level is
very low with a high amount of background hiss) hence I wasn't
originally going to publish it.
However the content *is* interesting (as it's an interview with
Andy), therefore it deserves to be seen. I'll put up a transcript
later.
The clip is available in Real Video and Windows Media formats on
this page:
